Regulatory Documentation
The Office of Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and the Environment Agency (EA) England & Wales / SEPA in Scotland are the principal Regulators in the UK Nuclear Industry.
Regulatory judgements and decisions are made by these civil bodies based on overarching documentation, which include the Safety Assessment Principals (SAP’s) and other guidance documents such as Technical Assessment Guides (TAG’s).
Noventus ensure flow down safety criteria and engineering judgement related to HVAC/ Active Ventilation Systems, Structures and Components (SSC’s) do not contravene this safety guidance.

Engineering Guides
Noventus implement relevant requirements associated with MCP design as specified within these Engineering Guides, which provide a roadmap to extant Engineering Standards for manufacturing and procurement.
Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) approved Design Guides are used in the design and manufacturing of our MCP’s.

Best Available Techniques (BAT)
Best Available Techniques (BAT) or BPM has been incorporated into the design and assembly where duct sampling and/ or monitoring equipment is required and Stack Discharge is relevant.
Design, implementation and operations include, but not limited to:

(2) Monitoring of Radioactive Discharges to Atmosphere – LIT 14887
Compliance Statement
Noventus have applied UK Relevant Good Practice (RGP) to our Modular Containerised Plantroom (MCP) Design. Overall SSC compliance is quantified for both individual Items of Plant, Equipment and the overall assembled plantroom system in accordance with the associated Engineering Guides and Standards.
